[ 연차, 반차, 휴가 ]

(반차)

"Taking a half day off" means that an employee will work only a portion of their usual working hours on a particular day. Typically, this involves working either the morning or the afternoon, but not both. For example, if someone normally works from 9 AM to 5 PM, taking a half day off might mean they work from 9 AM to 1 PM and then leave for the rest of the day.

ex) I'm going to take a half day off tomorrow to relax.

ex) If you're not feeling well, why don't you take a half day off?

ex) I took a half day off yesterday.

"Taking a day off" means not going to work for a full workday. This could be for various reasons, like personal matters,  rest, vacation, or health reasons. During this time, the individual is not expected to perform their usual work duties or be present at their workplace. It's a common practice in many work environments to allow employees to recharge or attend to personal affairs.

ex) I'm taking the day off tomorrow, so I won't be in the office.

[ 출근 / 퇴근 ]

(출근)

"Go to Work"
This means to proceed to one's place of employment to start the workday. It's often used to describe the action of leaving home (or another place) to head to one's job.

ex) I go to work at 9 AM and finish around 5 PM.

ex) I don't have to go to work tomorrow.

ex) What time do you usually go to work?

ex) I have to go to work by 9.

(퇴근)

"Get Off Work"
This phrase is more general and can be used regardless of the work environment. It doesn't necessarily imply that the person works in an office. For example, it's equally applicable to someone who works in a retail store, a factory, a hospital, or from home. It's often used to indicate the end of a work shift, regardless of the location.

"Leave the Office"
This is more specific to office environments. It's typically used by people who work in an office setting and refers specifically to the action of leaving the physical office building.

In terms of frequency, "get off work" might be slightly more common because of its broader applicability to various types  of jobs and work environments. However, for those who work in office settings, "leave the office" is equally common and appropriate.

ex) I got off work at 8 yesterday.

ex) We can't get off work until my boss gets off first.

ex) I'm on my way to work but I already want to get off work.

ex) I hope I can get off work on time today; we have dinner plans at 6 PM.

ex) He prefers getting off work early to a high annual salary.
ex) Could you get off work early tomorrow?

** 반차 쓰고 일찍 퇴근했어 **

Your sentence "I took a half day off today and left the office early." makes perfect sense and is a clear way to express that you worked only part of your usual hours and left your workplace before the regular time.

Native English speakers often use similar phrases to convey the same idea. Here are a few examples:
"I'm taking a half day today, so I'll be heading out early."
"I left the office early today after taking a half day off."
"I worked a half day and left early this afternoon."
"Today was a half day for me, so I got to leave the office before usual."
