- Luck and chance do play a significant role in determining one’s success, not just merit and talent.

- Many argue that success is independent of luck, but I see things differently. In my view, success and luck are intricately connected. When diligent effort intersects with fortunate opportunities, success often follows. While it's true that luck is an element beyond our control, our role is to consistently exert extra effort and stay prepared. This approach ensures that when luck does present itself, we're ready to seize it. Thus, I firmly believe that luck plays a significant role in achieving success.

- The debate about the role of luck in success is an ongoing one. Some firmly believe that success is solely the result of hard work and deliberate action. However, I hold a different perspective. To me, success is often a dance between effort and serendipity. It's true that we cannot control or predict luck, but we can certainly prepare for it. By putting in relentless effort and staying vigilant, we position ourselves to capitalize on those serendipitous moments when they arise. In this light, luck isn't just a whimsical chance, but a crucial ingredient that, combined with hard work, paves the path to success. Hence, I believe that acknowledging the role of luck, while continuously striving for excellence, is essential in the journey towards achieving our goals.

- Numerous studies and books, most notably those written in recent years by risk analyst Nassim Taleb, in his book The Black Swan; investment strategist Michael Mauboussin, in his book The Success Equation, and economist Robert Frank, in his book Success and Luck: Good Fortune and the Myth of Meritocracy, have raised the possibility that chance and luck may be far more important than previously thought in a variety of industries and careers, including financial trading, business, sports, art, music, literature, and the sciences. Their claim is not that talent is everything; talent obviously matters. Instead, they argue that the evidence reveals that if we solely concentrate on human attributes in an effort to understand the causes of success, we miss out on a very important component of the success picture - luck and chance.
