    I'm writing to seek your confirmation regarding the implementation of a service fee for our OGA declarations. OGA declaration service fee is KRW 20,000 per entry and there have been four instances where this service fee would have been applicable. Below, I provide a detailed explanation of the OGA declaration to ensure transparency and understanding. Please review the information and kindly grant us your approval to proceed with invoicing this fee.

 

 

1. Understanding the OGA Declaration related to XYZ's imports
    The OGA declaration is a critical component of the customs clearance process, particularly for some products of Ciena. Certain Ciena products need to comply with technical regulations such as RRA (Radio Research Agency) laws or Electrical Safety Control Act to successfully clear customs. These products must possess valid RRA certifications or Electrical Safety certificates to be deemed compliant.

    In this context, the OGA declaration is a formal process executed by the customs broker, where we officially inform the relevant governmental agency that the imported XYZ goods hold the necessary certifications. This declaration verifies to the KR government that XYZ's products align with the required safety and regulatory standards.

 

2. The Process of Obtaining an OGA Declaration
   To secure an OGA declaration, we meticulously input various details on the OGA website, including your company's information, B/L number, and safety certificate data (such as the model name, registration number, and manufacturer details). Following our accurate submission, the government agency reviews the provided information. Once verified, they issue an approval number, which is indispensable for the subsequent import declaration to customs. 

 

 

3. Service Fee Structure

     Recognizing the effort and responsibility required in this process, we have established a service charge of 20,000 KRW per entry for our OGA declaration services. Please note that this fee is an additional charge, separate from our standard brokerage service fees, as it is an extra declaration submitted to the government. 

     I've identified four instances where this OGA declaration service was performed for your imports, and as such, the service fee would be applicable for each entry.
