1. way too
: to a degree that is very excessive

ex) Their quote for the job was way too high.
ex) I'm way too young to lie here forever.
ex) With crucial matters like property and reproduction at stake, marriages were way too important to depend on young love. 
ex) This bag is way too heavy.

 

2. Whereas

: used to make a statement that describes how two people, groups, etc., are different.

("반면에" in 비교, 대조)

 

ex) Some of these species have flourished, whereas others have struggled. 

ex) Some of the studies show positive results, whereas others do not. 

ex) In Los Angeles, a chief cause of this pollution is paved-road dust, whereas in San Diego, it's smoke from fireplaces. 

ex) Whereas many people have supported the proposal, others have opposed it very strongly. 

 

 

3. Without

: not doing sth specified 

: If one thing happens without another thing, or if you do something without doing something else, the second thing does not happen or occur.

 

ex) They left without saying goodbye. 

ex) Even without studying, she answered all of the questions correctly. 

ex) I didn't want to get my fingerprints on it so I picked it up without touching it.

ex) Like in the story of Goldilocks, they need to get the numbers just right in order to stimulate growth and keep people employed, without letting inflation reach disruptive levels.
