#1. glitch 
: an unexpected and usually minor problem
: A glitch is a problem which stops something from working properly or being successful.

 

:  In a business context, the term "glitch" typically refers to a minor, temporary malfunction or irregularity within a system.  It often denotes a small problem that disrupts normal operations but can usually be fixed relatively easily. 
  Using the term "glitch" suggests that while there are problems, they are neither large nor unsolvable, which can reassure stakeholders that the issues are manageable and temporary.


ex) We experienced a brief glitch in our software that affected transaction processing, but our IT team has resolved the issue.

ex) Manufacturing glitches have limited the factory's output.
ex) Due to a glitch in our logistics software, shipment deliveries were delayed by 24 hours. We are working to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
ex) There was a glitch in our financial reporting system that led to incorrect figures being published. We have corrected the errors for accurate financial disclosure.
ex) We faced a few glitches during the rollout of our new product, which impacted initial availability. However, these issues have been addressed, and we expect smooth operations moving forward.

#3. get hold of / get a hold of
: to find and talk to (someone); to contact (someone)
: to communicate with sb, esp. by telephone
: If you get a hold of someone or something, you manage to contact, find, or get them.

: The phrase "get a hold of" means to successfully contact someone or obtain something. It's often used to express the action of reaching someone via communication methods or securing an item or piece of information.

 

ex) I've been trying to get a hold of [=get in touch with] my lawyer for days. 
ex) I need to talk to my lawyer, but I haven't been able to get hold of him. 
ex) Did you manage to get a hold of Bruce?
ex) We've been trying to get a hold of you all afternoon.

 

ex) 
Alex: Hey Jordan, were you able to get a hold of the supplier about the delayed shipment?
Jordan: Yes, I finally got a hold of them this morning. They apologized for the delay and promised that the shipment will arrive by the end of the week.
Alex: Great! Make sure to keep a hold of that confirmation in case we need to follow up. Thanks for handling it, Jordan.
