There are a few terms that describe the scenario where a government doesn't impose duties or taxes to encourage businesses to import certain goods:

< 면세 >

* Duty-Free
This term is used when goods are exempt from customs duties.

ex) The goods you're importing are classified as duty-free items, which means no customs duties will be imposed on them.
ex) Our nation has a duty-free agreement with the exporting country, allowing us to import these goods without incurring any customs duties.

* Tariff Exemption
This refers to a situation where a specific category of goods is exempt from tariffs (another word for customs duties).

ex) Due to the special nature of these goods, they qualify for a tariff exemption, allowing them to be imported without any customs duties.
ex) Under our current trade agreement with the exporting country, these products benefit from a tariff exemption, meaning we won't have to pay customs duties on them."
ex) The customs authority has granted a tariff exemption for these goods, so we can import them without paying the usual customs duties.

* "be free of duty" & "be free of customs tax"
commonly used and widely understood in the context of international trade. They essentially mean that no customs duties or customs taxes are levied on the goods in question.
For example, you might say "these goods are free of duty" to mean that they are not subject to customs duties.

+ OOOO is free of duty from any country.

In more formal contexts, terms like "duty-free", "tariff exemption", or "zero-rated" might be used instead to refer to goods that aren't subject to customs duties or taxes.

* Zero-Rated
-  The imported goods have been classified as zero-rated, which means they aren't subject to any customs duties.
-  Under our country's current tariff schedule, these products are zero-rated, freeing us from any import duty obligations.
-  As these goods fall under the zero-rated tariff category, we can import them without the burden of customs duties.

< 감면 >

* Duty Relief
: This is a broad term that refers to any reduction in the customs duties imposed on imported goods.

* Duty Reduction / Reduced Duty Rate

The term for a reduction of duties, but not a complete exemption, is usually referred to as a "Duty Reduction" or
"Reduced Duty Rate."

Here are some sentences using these terms in the context of international trade:
ex) Under our current trade agreement, we benefit from a reduced duty rate for these products, resulting in lower customs duties.
ex) The goods you're importing qualify for a duty reduction, which means you'll pay less in customs duties than the standard rate.
ex) Thanks to the duty reduction scheme in place, our import costs are significantly lessened.

* Preferential Duty Rates / Preferential tariffs

In some cases, a specific trade agreement or program might provide a reduced duty rate for certain goods or countries.
These are sometimes referred to as "preferential duty rates" or "preferential tariffs."

ex) Under certain trade agreements or preferential trade schemes, a lower duty rate is applied to goods imported from specific countries.

ex) As part of the Generalized System of Preferences, we're able to import these goods at a preferential duty rate, lowering our customs duty obligations.

Examples of detailed explanations: duty reduction based on specific conditions:

ex) Under the new trade agreement, machinery parts that used to attract a 10% duty rate are now subject to a reduced duty rate of 5%. For an import valued at $10,000, this duty reduction means you will save $500 in customs duties.
ex) The government has announced a duty reduction scheme for renewable energy products. Previously, solar panels attracted a duty of 15%, but with the new policy, the rate is reduced to 5%. If you're importing solar panels worth $20,000, this translates to a saving of $2,000 in customs duties.
ex) With the special duty reduction in place for agricultural equipment, the tariff is lowered from 25% to 15%. If you import farming machinery worth $30,000, this means you will save $3,000 in customs duties due to the reduction.

ex) By strategically utilizing the provisions of the applicable Free Trade Agreement (FTA), your business stands to gain considerable cost advantages through reduced tariff rates, thereby enhancing the competitiveness and profitability of your imported products.

+ 실험용 목적으로 수입된 물품은 감면 혜택 받을 수도 있어!

When an item is imported for the sole purpose of testing, the importer may be eligible for a tax exemption. This benefit applies only to temporary importations, meaning that the item must be returned or otherwise not remain in the country permanently. Compliance with this condition ensures that the importer can take advantage of the tax incentive designed to support testing-related activities.
