1. equip

: to give sb the skills needed to do a particular thing

: If something equips you for a particular task or experience, it gives you the skills and attitudes you need for it, especially by educating you in a particular way.

 

ex) The aim of this workshop is to equip business leaders with the tools to make prudent financial decisions.

ex) The goal of the course is to equip people with the skills necessary for a job in this technological age.

ex) A degree in the history of art is very nice but it doesn't exactly equip you for many jobs.

ex) Those students are not equipped for the challenges of college. 

ex) The course is designed to equip students for a career in nursing.

 

2. engage in
: to take part in sth
: to make sb take part in sth

ex) In the last century this was recognized in the apprenticeship system, which allowed the boy to go out with the master carpenter, thatcher, or ploughman to engage in the actual work of carpentry, roof-mending, or ploughing, and so to learn his trade.
ex) Even in prison, he continued to engage in criminal activities. 
ex) Lecturers engage in teaching and research.
ex) They tried to engage him in conversation.

3. endanger
: to cause (someone or something) to be in a dangerous place or situation

 

ex) That one mistake seriously endangered the future of the company.
ex) The controversy endangered [=threatened] his chances for reelection.
ex) Failing to properly inspect the subway system can lead to delays in service and, potentially, endanger the safety of subway riders.
ex) The health of our children is being endangered by exhaust fumes.
ex) The Security Council determines that such an incident endangers peace and security in the region and beyond.
ex) Development of the area would endanger wildlife.

 

4. expedite
: make (an action or process) happen sooner or be accomplished more quickly

ex) We have developed rapid order processing to expedite deliveries to customers. 
ex) We tried to help you expedite your plans.
ex) Something needs to be done to expedite the process.
ex) I was wondering if you could expedite the process.
ex) Figured this would help expedite the whole process, right?
ex) We understand this is time-sensitive, so we'll do our best to expedite the process.
