1. exchange

: If you exchange something, you replace it with a different thing, especially something that is better or more satisfactory.

: If two or more people exchange things of a particular kind, they give them to each other at the same time.

 

ex) I'd like to exchange this sweater for a smaller one.

ex) The conference was a great opportunity for the exchange of innovative ideas.

ex) We need to promote an open exchange of ideas and information.

ex) If the car you have leased is clearly unsatisfactory, you can always exchange it for another.

ex) If it doesn't fit, take it back and the store will exchange it.

2. end up
: to be in a particular situation, state, or place after a series of events, especially when you did not plan it.

: "End up" is a phrase that's often used to talk about a final situation, result, or action, especially when it wasn't initially planned or expected.

ex) If you don't know what you want, you might end up getting something you don't want.
ex) Whenever we go out to dinner with them, I always end up paying the bill.
ex) I sometimes end up skipping breakfast as I'm hurrying to get to work. 
ex) Too rigid a system of rules would end up being brittle and would shatter under the press of events. 
ex) Twins who were raised separately can end up having completely different personalities due to education.

3. ensure
: to make sth sure, certain, or safe
: "ensure" in business conversation is often used to express the guarantee or confirmation of an action or result. It signifies making certain that something will occur as planned.

ex) provisions designed to ensure safe conditions of work
